SHORT BIO

Leela Misel is a Melbourne-based singer-songwriter with Indonesian and Malaysian Tamil heritage. 

Her sound is rock, blues and soul - powerful vocals, guitar, and a distinctive flute. 

With close to three decades of live performance behind her, her original music explores identity, burnout, family, and stillness. 

Debut single Switch reached the Melbourne Semi-Finals of the Australian Songwriting Prize (Listen Up Music) and earned an Honourable Mention.
